How Would You Wear: Chambray shirt

I wasn't 100 percent on board with the chambray shirt trend. I waffled on it: Is this going to be a fleeting trend or is this a wardrobe staple? I nearly bought one last July, but ultimately decided against it. But then in December, while at the J. Crew factory store, I stumbled across one of the "Perfect Fit" chambray shirts for $35. Too good of a deal to pass up, I decided, and boy, am I glad I did. I wore it twice this weekend (hope that's not too gross!).

But another part of my concern about the shirt was how to wear it. Is denim-on-denim too garish for daily wear? Or is it so Western-y that it looks comical?

I decided to have a little fun with Polyvore to create some outfits to wear with my new purchase. I couldn't find my exact shirt, so I used this Selvedge one from J. Crew. What do you think? And how would you wear a chambray shirt?
